  • Plough Sunday

    Nick Booth
    Sun 07/01/2018

January 7th 2018 was Plough Sunday and Grimsby Morris Men marked the day with dancing in Ludford (at the White Hart), Binbrook Market Place and appropriately enough, at the Plough Inn Binbrook. The weather was glorious and remarkably warm. Audiences were small but welcoming and enthusiastic.
After dancing at the Plough, we performed the Middle Rasen Mumming play (traditional for this time of year) to an appreciative audience. We even found a couple of more senior gentlemen who could remember ploughing with horses!
