  • 50th BoxingDay

    Nick Booth
    Tue 26/12/2017

The 2017 Boxing Day dance-out was the 50th such event since the inauguration of the team. We were joined for the day by “Herring Gals” performing their North -West style Morris with great skill and enthusiasm. The day was bright and sunny but with a biting cold wind which made dancing quite pleasant but spectating quite challenging! However, the crowds were out in force along Cleethorpes Sea Front (probably walking off Christmas Day’s excess turkey!) and audiences were large and appreciative at all the venues. This year’s charity collection is in aid of the new born intensive care unit at Grimsby Hospital so it was good to the niece of a team member with her daughter who had recently received care as a new-born at Grimsby Hospital.
